December 2004 to Present: WA State Network for Civil Justice & Accountability Volunteer position writing local legislators & my local Congressmen to support issues pertaining to public safety. WA State Trial Lawyers Association Volunteer campaigning for I-336/NO 330 to reform policies and protect patient safety in Washington State. September 2004 to June 2005: Samantha Smith PTSA President July 2003 to July 2005: Board Member Redmond/Sammamish Boys & Girls Club Worked diligently with Board Members and King County Corporate office & Sammamish City officials to build and open a Teen Center. Chairperson for our annual fundraiser, Sammamish Summer Blast. A community festival. Worked closely with corporate sponsors such as Overlake Hospital, Evergreen Hospital, Costco, Home Depot, Seahawks, Sonics, Rotartairians, Police, Eastside Fire & Rescue, Health Dept and city of Sammamish. Established a program with Eastside Domestic Violence where 50 children and their Mother’s living in shelters attended the event for free to allow the kids a safe day of fun to be a child. July 2003 through June 2004: Lost year due to medical misdiagnosis and Immunosuppressant drugs September 2002 through June 2003: Samantha Smith Vice President, Ways & Means. Implemented a PTSA community Carnival event to benefit the community and to promote the Kirkland/Redmond Boys & Girls Club. This event was a huge success and well received within the community and branched Kirkland/Redmond club into the Redmond/Sammamish club. The event continued as a club event and was renamed Sammamish Summer Blast with myself a chairperson. Volunteered throughout the school in various capacities to teach, promote and support educational programs. Participated/lobbied in Focus Day in Olympia to support PTSA legislation issues.
