The fund was established in August of 2008 for the benefit of Michelle Moulton and her family.  The money is held in an account at the local KeyBank branch and is controlled by the Moulton's and their neighbors.  The funds are intended to be used only for Michelle's liver transplant and related medical expenses.

Although the fund is not an IRS 501c non-profit organization, it is the objective of those who manage the funds that 100% of the donations collected will be given directly for the benefit of the Moultons and that none of the funds will be used for any other purposes.  

As of this date, all expenses incurred for fundraising activities have been donated or paid for separately, and not taken from the donations collected by the Moulton Fund.
